Biography
Pascal Biegelaar is an 18-year-old guitarist born in Alkmaar, The Netherlands, and now living in Windermere, Florida. Since picking up the guitar at age 10, Pascal has demonstrated exceptional musical ability and dedication, earning selection to the OCPS All-County Guitar Ensemble during his very first year of playing.
Recognized early for his talent and work ethic, Pascal’s instructors consistently praised his musical maturity, technical ability, and relentless drive to improve. Those qualities continue to define his approach to music today.
At 14, Pascal joined School of Rock Orlando, where he gained extensive live-performance experience playing with full bands. His commitment, preparation, and musicianship eventually led him to pursue more advanced musical opportunities beyond the program.
In high school, Pascal was discovered by Mark Wood, founding member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, while performing electric guitar at an OCPS orchestra concert. This opportunity further highlighted Pascal’s ability to perform at a high level across different musical settings.
Throughout high school, Pascal played cello and upright bass in his school’s advanced orchestra while continuing his guitar studies. His experience with multiple instruments strengthened his sight-reading skills and expanded his knowledge of music theory. Pascal was also a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
In addition to guitar, cello, and upright bass, Pascal plays electric bass, drums, and keyboards. His versatility across multiple instruments allows him to step into a variety of musical roles and contribute wherever he is needed.
During his final year of high school, Pascal was selected as one of the few OCPS Top Talent finalists from across the district’s 214 schools. As a finalist, he had the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Orlando.
Since graduating, Pascal has been pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Musical Performance at Valencia College where he has continued to improve his playing. Alongside learning, he has consistently played gigs all over Florida, as well as in Kansas City and Nashville.
